The Honor 9i strikes a balance between cost and features. For the number features that you get with this smart phone, it’s definitely value for money for under R5000

The first thing to grab your attention on the Honor 9i will be its big display.
You get a 5.9-inch Full View screen with an 18:9 aspect ratio and FHD+ resolution (1080×2160 pixels) with good viewing angles.
You can also change the colour temperature The display is bright enough indoors but maybe a bit lacking when used outdoors.
The next things you’ll notice are its four cameras.
The primary rear and front cameras have 16-megapixel camera and 13-megapixel sensors respectively, and both are paired with 2-megapixel secondary sensors which are used to capture depth information and to enable portrait mode. You get a single LED flash at the back and a soft selfie flash on the front.

This is definitely an affordable budget smartphone that would satisfy your average user. The device is quite similar compared to the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime.

There is only one storage option: 32GB but it can be expanded to up to 256GB using the microSD card slot. While it might not offer completely smooth experience but it should be enough for performing basic Android tasks.
One great thing about this entry level phone is its great battery life. This affordable phone from Samsung comes with 2600mAh battery which should last minimum 1-2 days if you are not a super user. When coming to capturing those memorable moments, you get an 8-megapixel camera on the back and a 5-megapixel camera for taking selfies. Otherwise, the phone includes all the basic connectivity options like Wi-Fi, NFC, FM Radio, Bluetooth and GPS
